Ionization Smoke Detector
![]() |
![]() |
Comprises an ionisation chamber with a radioactive isotope housed within a case with wind resistant inlets. When smoke particles enter ionisation chamber, ions become attached to them with the result that the current flowing through the chamber decreases. This causes the sensing electrode to go more positive which produces an alarm signal when a preset threshold is reached |
Optical Smoke Detector
![]() |
The optical smoke detector uses an internal pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle. In the event of smoke entering the chamber, the light pulse from the LED will be scattered and registered by the photo-diode. The detector will then enter the alarm state and the indicator LED lights up. |
Heat Detector
![]() |
Conventional detectors housed in an attractive white polycarbonate case Packaging designed to act as dust cover until commissioning of system Externally visible LED illuminates when detector changes to alarm state Approved to EN547-7 :2000 or EN54-5 :2000 9-33v supply voltage |
Detector Mounting Base
![]() |
The bases have been designed to enable detectors to be plugged in without any need for force - particularly useful when fitting to suspended ceilings. All bases are lockable and come complete with the detector |
